The Stewartry Museum

St Mary St, Kirkcudbright DG6 4AQ, UK – 01557 331643

This is a great wee museum which put on topical displays and endeavours to engage children. Great place

I love this museum - it's got an eclectic and very varied mix of exhibits of historic interest, and an old-world feel that reminds you of what museums used to be like. I'm not sure how suitable it would be for very young children, but with everything from prehistoric arrowheads to victorian silverware on display, there's something that should pique most people's interest.
